Culinary Journeys
Discover Malta and Gozo through a series of carefully curated culinary journeys that take you far beyond the familiar tourist trail.
These immersive experiences reveal the islands through their landscapes, traditions and the passionate people who have preserved their food heritage for generations.
What sets KulStoria apart?
These are more than food tours. It is an invitation to step inside family farms, artisan workshops and hidden vineyards, where you'll meet the bakers, cheesemakers, olive growers, beekeepers, winemakers whose craftsmanship keeps Malta's rich culinary traditions alive.
Taste olive oil beneath centuries-old trees, make traditional goat's cheese with local artisans, don a beekeeper's suit before sampling wild thyme honey, bake sourdough bread, learn about the dubious ingredients that went into love spells traversing Birgu’s medieval alleyways by night, and explore boutique vineyards while discovering the fascinating history of Maltese wine.
Along the way, leading experts and local historians reveal the stories behind every ingredient that has shaped Malta's culinary identity through the centuries and the many cultures that have left their mark on these remarkable islands..
We introduce you to the people who make
Malta's food culture
truly extraordinary.
Our Approach
Most visitors see the finished plate.
We introduce you to the people behind it.
The passion and resilience that make Malta's food culture extraordinary.
For thousands of years, Malta has stood at the crossroads of the Mediterranean.
From the Neolithic Temple Builders to the Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Genoese, Swabians, Angevins, Aragonese, Castilians, the Knights of St John, the French and the British, every civilisation has left its mark, not only on our architecture and language, but on our plates.
KulStoria invites you to discover Malta through its oldest archive: its food.
Along the way, leading experts reveal the stories that have shaped Malta's culinary identity through the centuries.
This isn't sightseeing.
It's living history.

Names carry stories.
So does ours.
Kul means "eat" in Maltese.
It also evokes kultura (culture) and kulinarja (culinary).
Pronounced like "cool," it is playful, memorable and unmistakably Maltese.
Kull, with two Ls, means "every," hinting at the countless stories waiting to be discovered.
Storia, the Italian word for story, echoes Malta's deep historical ties to Italy, while the Maltese storja and the Latin historia remind us that stories have always travelled across languages and cultures.
KulStoria therefore means many things at once:
Eat Stories.
Culinary Stories.
Culture Stories.
Every Story.
Because every meal has one.
